The tribes of Andaman

Recently I saw a report on Television about the tribal natives in the Andaman and Nicobar islands and how they escaped the tsunami. That got me wondering. Why, in these mordern times do we still let the tribal people live as they are? Should it not be our moral responsibility to civilise and educate them? Imagine their lives... They do not know ANYTHING about the world around them. They do not know that matter is made of atoms and molecules, that the way nature works can be predicted by certain laws, and yet as human beings they have the potential to.
I believe the trouble is that people try to isolate and protect them in the name of culture. But what culture is it? Instead of being emotional, we must be rational and provide these people with the oppurtunity to learn about mordern civilization. It is surely a great crime to willingy deny these people the right to education!
